We must admit that we don't know of any particular symbolism bikers attach to the pineapple. That's not to say that the beloved fruit has no symbolism. It does. We just don't know how it relates to bikers.



The most traditional symbolism is hospitality. Associating the tropical fruit with hospitality is so common that you often see it displayed by hotels, restaurants, and cafes. The fruit is brazenly displayed in tourist-heavy areas in the Caribbean and Mexico.



At one time, the pineapple was a symbol of affluence in European cultures. That makes sense. Pineapples were costly in Europe because shipping was so expensive. If you could afford pineapples, you were wealthy.



One of the more curious uses of the pineapple is to identify members of the swinger community. We don't know why. We just know that's the way it is. Swingers sometimes display an upside-down pineapple to identify themselves to other members of the community.



Regardless of any particular meaning you might attach to the pineapple, putting a pineapple patch on your leather jacket or vest would be viewed as unusual for biker. You could expect a lot of people coming up and asking you what the deal is. You could tell them what you think or just make something up. It is entirely up to you.

Do you live by the creed that loud pipes save lives? If so, we have a rather unique patch set that displays that very message across the back of a leather jacket or vest. This isn't just one biker patch. It is a set of four patches that, when displayed together, tell the entire world just how you feel about loud pipes on your bike.



Each patch comprises one of the words in the phrase. Although sizes vary slightly, the average size among all four is 2.5 x 7.5 inches. The lettering is black with a white outline, placed against a black border. There will be no misunderstanding the message.



You could put this patch set on the back of your jacket or vest with or without a back patch. With, you could treat the Loud Pipes Save Lives set as upper and lower rockers. Now here's an interesting take on a very popular saying in the biker community: fuck around and find out. The saying is a way to warn people that there will be consequences for messing with you. All they need to do to find out what those consequences are is keep it up.

Still, we recommend always sewing biker patches to your clothing. It is never safe to take chances with a hot iron and a leather jacket or vest. But you can't go wrong with needle and thread.

This 3 x 2-inch patch is designed almost like a flag inside a flag. What do we mean? The actual Christian flag is just the blue rectangle with the red cross. On this biker patch however, it is embroidered in the upper left corner similar to how the field of stars is placed against the red and white stripes of the American flag. Only in this case, the smaller Christian emblem is placed against a larger white background. The whole thing is surrounded by a black border.



The Christian flag was designed in the early 20th century to represent the many denominations within Christianity. Therefore, it is not exclusive to just one denomination or practice. Its colors and symbols mean something.



The cross is obviously a recognized symbol of Christianity. It is red to denote the blood of Christ. The blue field represents both baptism and Jesus' faithfulness to believers. White symbolizes purity and grace.



Christian biker clubs tend to include this biker patch as part of their colors. It works well on the back of a biker jacket or vest, on one side of the back patch. On the other side is the American flag.
