If you've seen one American flag biker patch you seen them all, right? Wrong. We carry patches depicting the traditional red, white, and blue image of the stars and stripes. We also have American flag biker patches with the thin blue line representing police officers. We even have this one: the Yellow-Black American Flag patch.
Do a quick online search on the meaning of this patch and you will find all sorts of crazy explanations about the supposed meaning of the color yellow. But stop and think about it. All the American flag variations you find on biker patches are meant to honor a particular group of people. Blue honors law enforcement. Red honors firefighters.
It turns out the yellow color is a reference to the yellow line on a road that separates the driving lane from the shoulder. As such, the yellow and black American flag honors tow truck operators and roadside assistance workers who risk their lives helping stranded motorists. In some circles, the patches also honor police, ambulance, and tow truck dispatchers.
We know that police work and firefighting are both dangerous. But so is responding to a motorist stranded on the side of a busy freeway. Every year, dozens of tow truck drivers are killed while helping stranded drivers. Hundreds more are injured. Whenever a tow operator stops to help a stranded motorist, they are taking a potentially deadly risk.
If you want to show respect for the men and women who patrol the roads in search of stranded motorists, sew this American flag patch to a piece of your biker clothing. Put it in a prominent place – like over your breast pocket or just underneath your back patch. Make sure it can be seen. America's tow operators deserve nothing less.

Red and Blue Line Law Enforcement and Firefighter Support American Flag Patch
American flag patches are a mainstay for bikers. You need to have at least one on every piece of biker clothing you wear, right? If not pants and shirts, at least your jackets and vests. Well, we have a couple of variations on the traditional American flag patch, including this one.
The Red and Blue Line Law Enforcement and Firefighter Support American Flag patch combines the traditional stars and stripes with a split blue and red line honoring police officers and firefighters. The split line sits directly underneath the field of stars.
You may be familiar with a similar American flag with a single blue line. That blue line represents law enforcement. This design includes the red line to show support for firefighters. Together, police officers and firefighters risk their lives every day to keep the rest of us safe. They deserve our appreciation and respect.
If you have been looking for a visible way to support first responders as a bike owner and rider, we can think of no better way than to do so than adorning your jackets and vests with biker patches like this one. People notice American flag patches. They pay attention to them, and a patch like this is a reminder of just how important our police officers and firefighters are.
At 3.5 x 2.1 inches, this biker patch is small enough to mount just about anywhere. You know the drill: over one of the breast pockets of a work shirt or denim vest, anywhere on the breast area of a leather jacket or vest, on a baseball cap etc. And as always, affix this patch in place with a sturdy black thread sewn into the border, where it will blend in seamlessly with the embroidery.
Number 1 USA Vintage Flag and Stars Patch
If you like old or vintage stuff, we havea biker patch that's right up your alley. This one looks like it could have come right out of the 1970s. It definitely looks vintage, that's for sure. It is also a pretty good patch if you want to get your American patriot on.
The Number 1 USA Vintage Flag and Stars patch combines the Stars and Stripes with the classic 'we're number one' concept. Your colors are red, white, blue, and black. But if you look really closely, it looks like all the colors are faded. That's by design. It makes the patch look older.
Look even closer and you'll see distressed areas all over the patch. Though this patch is brand new, the distress makes it look older. The look is similar to what some people do with new wood furniture or floors. They purposely distress the wood to make it look older than it really is.
At any rate, this 2x3 inch patch is obviously taller than it is wide. so where would you attach it? Right off the bat, we're thinking a pocket. A back pocket on a pair of jeans would work. If you have a denim shirt, one of the breast pockets would work as well.
Either arm on a jacket, just below the shoulder, would be suitable. So would the area above either breast pocket on a leather jacket. If none of those locations suit you, maybe sew it to a baseball cap or a bandanna. Use your imagination.
The Number 1 USA Vintage Flag and Stars patch features high quality embroidering in 100% rayon thread along with a twill fabric and a tough plastic backing. Needless to say, this patch is sturdy enough to handle whatever you throw out it.
2nd Amendment Original Homeland Security Gun Patch
We certainly live in interesting times. Interesting enough to wonder if the Constitution's guaranteed 2nd Amendment rights will eventually be a thing of the past. If you are a 2nd Amendment supporter, we've got a must-have biker patch for you.
The 2nd Amendment Original Homeland Security Gun patch doesn't need a whole lot of description. It speaks for itself. Its shape is circular, and it features a combination black and gray background with black block letters. Dead center is the image of a gun owner's right hand pointing a revolver directly at you.
If this image doesn't get your attention, it's hard to imagine a biker patch that would. Not only is it a sharp looking patch, but the message doesn't mince words. It clearly states the wearer's beliefs in regard to the 2nd Amendment. There is no second guessing this puppy.
The sleeve of your leather biker jacket, right at the shoulder, is one possible location for this patch. It is only 3 inches in diameter, so it would fit on the back pocket of a pair of jeans or the front of a baseball cap. Even the left or right breast of a denim jacket or work shirt would make a good home.
As always, don't take your chances trying to iron this patch in place. Sewing is a much better option. Use your needle and thread to go over the edge of the patch to prevent curling. If you use black thread and keep it tight to the border, you should be able to hide it pretty well.
The 2nd Amendment Original Homeland Security Gun patch is a high-quality product we suspect you'll be proud to wear. If you support America's 2nd Amendment rights, use this patch to make your voice heard.
I'm Your Huckleberry Iron-On Morale Patch
Some of our biker patches are meant to be humorous. Others say something about the biker lifestyle or culture. But every now and again, we run across a patch with a message that is a morale booster more than anything else.
Enter the I’m Your Huckleberry iron-on morale patch. Though the phrase 'I'm Your Huckleberry' was made famous by the 1993 Val Kilmer film Tombstone, it had been around as an idiom for more than 150 years at that point. So what does it mean? That depends on who you ask.
The two most common meanings are somewhat related. First, you can take it to mean 'I'm the one you're looking for', in the sense that you are the right person for the job. However, that meaning is unlikely for the two scenes in Tombstone in which it's uttered. Based on the film's storyline, the phrase was more likely used as a challenge.
The second possible meaning relates to literary characters Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. Saying 'I'm your Huckleberry' is like declaring that you are someone else's friend. It is like saying that someone else can depend on you.
Mount this small biker patch to your leather jacket or vest and it can mean whatever you want it to mean. It can be your own personal challenge to anyone who purports to be a better biker. It can be your way of saying that you are loyal to your friends. It's all good.
This is a small patch at just 4 x 1.5 inches. Nonetheless, we advise using needle and thread to affix it to you clothing. Black thread works best. To make the job easier, use the smallest diameter needle that will not bend as you sew. A smaller needle will pierce the patch much easier.
Gadsden Flag Don't Tread On Me Patch
American flag patches are commonplace in the biker community. Your biker jacket or vest probably has one. If you're looking to add a second flag patch but are not necessarily a big fan of the stars and bars, consider the Gadsden Flag Don't Tread on Me patch.
Most people are familiar with the symbolism of the Gadsden flag even if they aren't sure of the history behind it. The flag is named after South Carolina patriot and politician Christopher Gadsden who designed it during the Revolutionary War in the mid-1770s.
The flag depicts a coiled timber rattlesnake with 13 rattles in his tail, symbolizing the 13 original colonies. Underneath the snake is text that reads "don't tread on me". It is designed to be a stern warning to the British to not trample on the rights of American colonists.
Over the years, the Gadsden flag has taken on a deeper meaning among Americans who value freedom, liberty, and minimal government interference. Strangely enough, the symbol has been adopted by both far right and far left groups at various times throughout U.S. history. Today, it is a favorite symbol among libertarians and others who think along similar lines.
The Gadsden Flag Don't Tread on Me biker patch is perfect for those freedom-loving bikers who just want to be left alone. Where the American flag symbolizes the freedom of the nation as a whole, the Gadsden flag symbolizes individual freedom. Having both patches on your jacket or vest tells everyone where you stand on the freedom issue.
At just 3 x 2 inches, you'll find that this smaller biker patch fits nicely just about anywhere you want to attach it. Its bright yellow and black color scheme looks fantastic against black leather, brown leather, and various shades of denim.
Old Skool Radio Cassette Novelty Iron on Patch
Everything new becomes old at some point. If you recognize the object depicted by the Old Skool Radio Cassette novelty iron-on patch, you know this all too well. Like you, the cassette is a relic from 40+ years ago.
Cassettes where the way we used to listen to music before there were CDs. They obviously weren't as good as CDs, but they were far better than eight-track tapes. As to how well they compared to vinyl records, the jury is still out. There are plenty of old-timers still clinging to vinyl.
Now that you are in reminiscing mode, think about what it means to be old-school. It means you do things differently. It means you are holding on to what was important in the past. Being old-school is okay. Being old-school in the biker world is even better.
Mount the Old Skool Radio Cassette patch on your biker vest and tell the whole world you're not about to change to make anyone happy. You are committed to doing you, the rest of the world be damned. And if you want to take the patch to the next level, go find yourself an old car audio system with a cassette player, from the 70s or 80s of course, and install it on your bike. Mind blown!
Maybe those of us with fond memories of cassettes see them as a symbol of youth. Perhaps we see them as a symbol of simpler times. For whatever reason, just knowing that we experienced cassette music makes us feel like we lived at a special time in history.
If you are feeling nostalgic about cassettes, you need this biker patch. It belongs on your vest or jacket every bit as much as the American flag. After all, it's part of your personal history.
Flaming 8-Ball Iron-On Patch
The life of a biker is the life of a gambler. Every time a biker gets on his machine and starts the engine, he is taking a risk that this might be his last ride. The Flaming 8-Ball iron-on patch symbolizes this very thing.
Riding a motorcycle is inherently more risky than driving a car. A biker isn't protected by four sides and a roof. He and his bike weigh considerably less than even the smallest car. So when accidents occur between cars and motorcycles, who is more likely to be on the losing end?
Wearing a Flaming 8-Ball biker patch on a leather jacket or vest symbolizes that a biker accepts that risk. It is a risk worth taking when compared to the freedom the biker lifestyle is known for. For many a biker, it is better to die in the saddle than live a lifestyle that isn't free.
We like this particular patch because of its color. Whether you sew it to leather, denim, or any other material, the red and yellow flames really grab your attention. The patch is only about 6 inches in length. Yet it does not fail to draw the eyes to it.
You could mount this patch on the back of your jacket or vest. However, we also have larger back patches we feel are more suitable. Perhaps a better location would be a jacket shoulder or sleeve. Another good location would be underneath either of the breast pockets on a classic leather biker vest.
Regardless of where you mount it though, be sure to use a sturdy thread and a needle capable of piercing the patch's plastic backing. It has been our experience that the smallest gauge needle (that doesn't bend of course) makes for the easiest sewing job.
Brown Bear Claws Patch
Sewing a large patch to the back of your biker jacket or vest is a way to say something to drivers following behind you. Some bikers put club patches on their backs to let everybody know who they ride with. But if you ride alone, then what?
We'd like to suggest the Brown Bear Claws patch. At 12 x 7 inches, it is the perfect size to fit right between your shoulder blades. Mount it slightly lower so you can put a rocker above and below. Or mount it higher for a single rocker below or no rockers at all. Either way, this is one good looking patch.
Biker patches are supposed to say something, right? The Brown Bear Claws patch says, "Don't get too close buddy." Whether you want to imagine this is a mama bear protecting her clubs or a hungry male bear determined to protect his territory is up to you. The point is made either way.
A heavy presence of browns and grays suggests this patch works nicely with brown leather. It should also pop pretty well with black leather or blue denim. Its black border all the way around is ideal for hiding the thread when you sew it on. Just be sure to use black thread.
We recommend going all the way around the entire border for maximum securement. Tacking it down in just a few places will keep it affixed, but the edges might curl up where there is no thread. Going all the way around the perimeter prevents that from happening.
Riding alone doesn't mean having to go without a back patch. If you are an independent biker looking to decorate your jacket or vest with a large back patch that makes a statement, this one will certainly do the trick.
Iron-On Shark Patch
Now here's something you don't see every day: a small, iron-on biker patch that consists of nothing but a graphic image. Larger, back patches are more likely to offer graphic images and no text, but not the smaller ones. Smaller biker patches almost always offer a text-based message.
At any rate, we think the Iron-On Shark patch is pretty sharp. You get a crisp and clear image of a shark that is just menacing enough to let you know it means business, but not so menacing that the patch looks terrifying. The red color between the teeth is especially cool. Is it the shark's tongue… or is it blood? You get to decide.
As a smaller biker patch, this one measures only 4 x 2.75 inches. It is more rectangular than anything else. Its shape suggests attaching it to a jacket, vest, or shirt just above one of the breast pockets. A pocket flap wouldn't be a bad idea, either.
The Iron-On Shark patch is also the perfect size to sew to the back pocket of your favorite pair of jeans. Get two and you can upgrade both pockets. If that's not your thing, do you ever wear baseball caps? Sewing the patch to the front of a cap can only make it look better.
As with every biker patch from The Cheap Place, you are getting a high-quality product featuring 100% rayon thread, twill fabric, and a plastic backing with iron-on glue. Still, we always encourage customers to sew their patches on. A good thread will do a better job of keeping patches in place than the glue.
Whether you are looking to make a statement, decorate your leathers, or just cover up a hole in a denim shirt, it's hard to go wrong with a blue shark.
