Old Skool Motorcycle Skull Embroidered Iron on Biker Patch
Everything new eventually gets old, right? That being the case, the biker culture of the 40s, 50s, and 60s is now considered old school. It is still the only way to go for a lot of bikers though. If that sounds like you, the Old Skool Motorcycle Skull embroidered iron-on biker patch might just be the patch you've been looking for.
This is a back patch measuring 11 x 9.9 inches. It features the typical biker skeleton donning his leathers and riding a chopper. An orange background could simulate the sun. Who knows? At the bottom of the patch is a banner with '13' on each end and 'Old Skool' in the middle.
There is some debate in the biker community about the meaning of the number 13. We won't get into that right now. As for what it means to be old school, it is all about the postwar culture of days gone by.
An old school biker often has grease under his nails because he works on his own bike. He knows every part inside and out. An old school biker lives for the road. Their destination is not nearly as important as the ride to get there.
It has been said that you will never find old school bikers at coffee shops or ice cream stands. They aren't into social trends and modern thinking. They are big proponents of honor, loyalty, respect, and trust. And yes, old-school bikers are a charitable bunch.
Admittedly, the Old Skool Motorcycle Skull patch doesn't reflect all that. But if you are old school, it doesn't matter. You know what the phrase means. Put this patch on your leather jacket or vest and you'll be easily identified by other old-school bikers. You're part of a club that has withstood the test of time.
Sugar Skull with Beard Large Back Patch
And now for something completely different, we offer you a biker patch that could be unlike anything else you have ever seen. We call it the Sugar Skull with Beard large back patch. If you know what this patch depicts, you are in the minority. Not a lot of people have seen a genuine Sugar Skull, let alone know what it actually is.
Before we get to that part, this 8.3 x 12-inch back patch is easily one of the most colorful patches in our collection. It has got a little bit for everyone. What makes it truly unusual is the beard – that's not something you see every day on skulls. But it works here.
So, what is a sugar skull? It is known as a 'calavera' in Spanish. It is a small, decorative skull usually made of either sugar or clay and used as part of Mexico's Day of the Dead celebration. The same Spanish word can be applied to a variety of artistic skull creations.
Some of the more ornate sugar skulls and not only painted, but also decorated with feathers, colored foil, and beads. Those intended for consumption can be decorated with anything from nuts to chocolates and small pieces of fruit.
The calavera is all about color. You can see that in this biker patch. If nothing else, the Sugar Skull with Beard backpack will get your attention with colors from every part of the spectrum. You haveyour red, green, yellow, blue, and more.
So many colors make the patch ideal for blue denim or either black or brown leather. Nothing is off limits here. When you choose this back patch for your vest or jacket, you are getting a high-quality patch that really makes a statement. This one definitely will not go unnoticed.
Jester Skull Large Back Patch
We are all scared of something, right? Some people are afraid of the dark. Others are scared by thunderstorms. Some people are even afraid of clowns. If you're one of them, the Jester Skull large back patch is probably not the best choice for your vest or jacket. For everyone else though, welcome aboard.
The image on this patch is truly indescribable. It starts with the nasty looking skull biker patches are known for. Next, the artist threw in some clown paint along with a black and white striped clown suit. They topped it off with a red and black jesters hat complete with bells shaped like miniature skulls.
What makes this patch so creepy are the eyes. The image is angled slightly downward so that it looks like the eyes are peering up at you. The red clown paint around the eyes makes them stand out even more. Get a few beers in you and this patch could really creep you out.
We have some pictures showing this back patch affixed to a leather vest. It really looks fantastic. The contrast of the black and white against black leather makes the image jump out at you from every angle. In terms of how it contrasts with the leather, this may be one of the best back patches we have. Incidentally, it measures 8.7 x 12 inches.
The patch is narrow enough that you could fit smaller patches on either side. It could support top and bottom rockers, too. However, the Jester Skull large back patch is certainly strong enough to stand on its own.
If you are into all things creepy and you love motorcycles, we are guessing this would be an excellent choice as your back patch. Sew it on with a needle and thread and then stand back and wait for the reactions.
Jester Clown Skull Large Patch
Attention all you bikers who love creepy images capable of peeling paint. We have a couple of super creepy patches that you're going to love, including the Jester Clown Skull large patch. This one comes in at 8.7 x 12 inches. It's as tall as any of our other back patches but not quite as wide.
As far as creepiness is concerned, this one has it all. It has the skull with a bright red tongue hanging out of its mouth. The skull's bony face is adorned with clown paint. He is also wearing a black and white striped something or other across his shoulders. And for the pièce de resistance we have a purple and gold jester's hat.
Here's betting some of your macho biker friends aren't all that fond of clowns. Some people just don't like them. Ditto for jesters. Put the two together and you have a truly disturbing image capable of wreaking havoc on the brain. If that's your thing, go for it.
We have to admit, this particular patch would look fantastic with a DILLIGAF rocker over the top. Look that up if you don't know what it means. It will make perfect sense once you figure it out.
Rest assured you will get plenty of faithful service from this high-quality embroidered patch. It features soft velvet fabric, a tough plastic backing, and 100% rayon thread for the embroidery. It is a good-looking patch that deserves a place on the back of your jacket or vest.
It's going to look fantastic on either leather or denim. Black leather would be our first choice, but that's just us. Whatever you do, we recommend against trying to iron the patch to a leather jacket. Heat could damage the leather. Break out that needle and thread. You'll be better off that way.
End of Trail Warrior Horse and Sunset Embroidered Iron-On Patch
While many of the biker patches in our collection depict fictional scenes based on fantasy and imagination, we have an occasional patch or two that depicts an image based in reality. Such is the case with the End of Trail Warrior Horse and Sunset embroidered iron-on patch. If you are familiar with Native American history, you might already be familiar with the image it depicts.
The centerpiece of this back patch is a weary Native American warrior slumped over on the back of an equally weary horse. It is an embroidered depiction of a sculpture created by James Earl Fraser in the late 1890s. Fraser's inspiration for the piece were memories he took from his own childhood growing up in the Dakota Territory.
Fraser wrote in his memoirs that a Dakota trapper once predicted that Native Americans being pushed out of their homelands would eventually be driven as far as the Pacific Ocean. That very image is what Fraser wanted to depict in his sculpture. His weary Indian warrior and horse have finally reached the coast. Their journey is over.
This back patch is both a sobering reminder and a testament to Native American tribes whose history we should not forget. The patch features a traditional Indian dream catcher and a brilliant sunset. It is designed to make the sculpture image appear as though it has been painted on a piece of leather attached to the dream catcher's frame.
This 12 x 12-inch back patch would certainly make a unique statement sewn to the back of your vest or jacket. It needs no rockers or side patches to support it. If Native American history is important to you as a biker, you may have just found your new back patch.
Silver Lion Embroidered Iron-On Patch
Some bikers love the lone wolf. That's cool. Others are all about the skull and cross bones. Also cool. But as for you, a roaring lion is more your style. As far as you are concerned, there is nothing more visceral than the sound of the territorial big cat making its presence known. You need the Silver Lion embroidered iron-on patch for the back of your biker vest or jacket.
Whatever back patch you choose should symbolize who you are. Its image should visualize what you want people to know about you. In this case, the Silver Lion makes it clear that you are fearless. It says that you will take on anyone and anything that threatens your freedom.
As a biker patch, this one is somewhat unique in its monochrome presentation. Black, silver, and multiple shades of gray give the lion's face excellent depth and definition without having to use any contrasting colors. As for the lion's incredible mane, it speaks for itself.
No doubt this is one lion you would not want to meet face-to-face. In the real world, a lion's roar is so loud that it can actually be heard miles away. It is a warning to any other lions who might foolishly think about encroaching on the big cat's territory. That is exactly the message this biker patch conveys. You have your territory, and you intend to keep it.
We sell a lot of biker patches to customers all over the country. Trust us when we say there are not a lot of lion patches out there. So if you are in need of a new back patch and you're into big cats, think it over. This might be your only opportunity to snag the king of the jungle and put him across your back.
