The Knights Templar was a military unit formed by the Roman Catholic church in 1119. Based out of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the order was tasked with protecting the church and its vast landholdings against hostile expansions by other nations and groups. The Knights Templar were very active during the Crusades while doing their duty for more than two centuries.



This patch depicts the typical modern understanding of a Templar knight, mostly in silver and gray. There is just a hint of purple in the knight's helmet, sword, and right arm.
