Introducing Chapman's Peak Drive, referred to as one of the most scenic routes around the world! The pictures of this place are breathtaking. Chapman's Peak is the name of a mountain on the Westside of the Cape Peninsula between Hout Bay and Noordhoek, South Africa. It seems to be a nice and calm marine ride on the rocky coastal roadways of Cape Town.
The Chapman's Peak Drive is only 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) long, but it consists of 114 curves along the route, forcing riders to go slow and enjoy the coastal scenery. There is a small tariff that applies in order to drive on this road, nothing more than a couple dollars though. There are tons of areas to pull over to get a better look at the area all along the drive. Some of these areas offer 180 degree panoramic views of the area along the route. At these scenic rest areas, it is also common to see dolphins and whales dance around by the coast.
September is a great time to visit Cape Town during Spring conditions. Not to hot or cold, and the perfect amount of sunlight to enjoy the spectacular sunsetting atmosphere to end your day.
