Challenging Roads For a Motorcycle Road Trip

All motorcyclists can appreciate a the perfect stretch of tarmac. In the search of a perfect ride you are looking for vistas, twists, turnouts and biker- friendly stops that makes the getting there fun.

The Pacific Highway or highway 1 stretches 1700 miles from Astoria, Oregon to Dan Juan Capistrano, California. This near perfect road trip features beaches, cliffs, redwood forests, sleepy seaside towns will provide contented cruising with a ribbon of undulating road and between rv's can provide a thrilling ride. You will find frequent turnouts to stop at. You will not want to miss San Diego, San Francisco, biker friendly Seattle, Malibu, Hearst Castle or Big Sur.

Another thrilling biker route begins in the Appalachian Mountains and winds up in North Carolina. Enjoy the 105 mile ride starting with Skyline Drive in West Virginia cruising through the Shenandoah National Park and connecting with the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway for 469 miles of smooth roads. You can head East on the Cherohala Skyway or Highway 28 which defends into Tennessee back country. Once there you can connect to Highways 360 and 72 to Deal's Gap and ride the famous Tail of the Dragon and cruises those 318 curves for a thrilling ride.

These are just a couple of trips that are perfect for a motorcycle road trip. You will see the country like most folks only dream of.  You may want to get some riding gloves as your grip will be tight! Make sure that your bike is ready for the ride checking tires, brakes and fluids. Be sure to pack a handy toll kit for emergencies and a tire kit. The tire kit should include a can of fix a flat or something similar as you will be out in the wilderness.
