Flaming 8-Ball Iron-On Patch

The life of a biker is the life of a gambler. Every time a biker gets on his machine and starts the engine, he is taking a risk that this might be his last ride. The Flaming 8-Ball iron-on patch symbolizes this very thing.

Riding a motorcycle is inherently more risky than driving a car. A biker isn't protected by four sides and a roof. He and his bike weigh considerably less than even the smallest car. So when accidents occur between cars and motorcycles, who is more likely to be on the losing end?

Wearing a Flaming 8-Ball biker patch on a leather jacket or vest symbolizes that a biker accepts that risk. It is a risk worth taking when compared to the freedom the biker lifestyle is known for. For many a biker, it is better to die in the saddle than live a lifestyle that isn't free.

We like this particular patch because of its color. Whether you sew it to leather, denim, or any other material, the red and yellow flames really grab your attention. The patch is only about 6 inches in length. Yet it does not fail to draw the eyes to it.

You could mount this patch on the back of your jacket or vest. However, we also have larger back patches we feel are more suitable. Perhaps a better location would be a jacket shoulder or sleeve. Another good location would be underneath either of the breast pockets on a classic leather biker vest.

Regardless of where you mount it though, be sure to use a sturdy thread and a needle capable of piercing the patch's plastic backing. It has been our experience that the smallest gauge needle (that doesn't bend of course) makes for the easiest sewing job.
