Meaning of Infidel

Infidel PatchThe 'Infidel' is a word coined during the 15th Century. Earlier the label Infidel is used to illustrate the people who switched their religion because of the belief or trust in another religion.

For instance not believing their own religion's holy facts and divine revelation, but having an interest or faith in another religion.

Later the meaning has changed a little.  The phrase 'Infidel'  in the Oxford dictionary, which points a person who doesn't have any religious belief.

For a long period, the usage of the word 'infidel' is tended as a pessimistic, but now it's just a word which describes as 'Unbeliever of religion or God'. The relative meaning for infidel is a free thinker.
