Heard the term Brexit? I didn't know nothing about it till last week when I started seeing it everywhere. A marketing word used to campaign for Britain's Exit from the European Union. They actually allowed the people of Britain to vote whether they would like to continue being a part of the EU or just leave them for good.
An extremely close vote, with 52% of the Brits wanted out. Britain is no longer a part of the European Union. Hats off to them for saying Fuck you to big government. 350 million pounds a week sent to the EU for them to decide how it should be spent.
I live in Florida. My state doesn't charge me any income tax, instead they make it happen by charging more for property taxes, charging more for gas, collecting more in sales tax. Essentially you are paying for how large you live which sounds fair to me. On the other hand I'm sending over 40% of my income to a place called Washington where they decide what to do with your money. (about 25% income tax, 15% Social Security and Medicate). I have known humans for 35 years now. We all have our self interests. We all like to do favors to those that take care of us. Your Congressman in Washington is more worried about being reelected than your best interests. You have to understand MONEY is what gets you reelected. Your tax dollars that you send to Washington are conveniently redirected to the big guys making donations to Congressmen's who are so fixed on getting reelected. And you can be a Congressman for life, conveniently there are no term limits. Why not? Because they are the ones making up the rules all these years. When will the people of the United States be given the chance to vote for term limits on Congressmen. The year is 2016, Presidents can only serve for 2 terms. CONGRESS decided this back in 1947 because they thought it was a good idea. What's it going to take to restrict term limits on Congressmen? Perhaps the fear of seceding from the Union might just do the trick.
