Depending on who you talk to there is some disagreement over whether or not some of the most well-known motorcycle clubs in America are beginning to dwindle. Take the Outlaws MC, for example. There's been talk for a few years that the membership in South Florida is getting older and dwindling to the point that the chapter down that way it is only a shell of its former self. We can't comment as to whether or not that's true, but we can say that at least four new chapters have potentially joined the club worldwide since the start of 2012.
In January the Outlaws welcomed one new chapter and one perspective chapter from Sweden as well as another perspective chapter in France. The Swedish chapters are located in Östersund (central Sweden) and Sollefteå (near the country's east coast). In France the perspective chapter hails from the northwestern city of Le Havre, very near the English Channel. Then in February the club welcomed another European chapter, this one based in Heinsberg, Germany. All the patched members of these chapters should soon be wearing the custom club patch bearing the now infamous skull and crossed pistons logo.
If anything, the club's expansion in Europe clearly demonstrates that the Outlaws are pushing ahead despite attempts to shut them down in many places. Never a motorcycle club looking to put themselves in the spotlight, the Outlaws are quietly going about their business wherever they have chapters. Someone may think they are old and fading away in South Florida, but by all accounts, they are alive and well in plenty of locales around the world.
