Daytona often claims to be the world's largest motorcycle event, although they really share that title with the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in the U.S. Both events, however, host more than 500,000 people! Held in Daytona Beach, Florida, the Daytona Bike Week is held the first full week of March. It usually lasts ten days and includes many different events, including races, parties, buying/selling/trading, street parties, and bike shows. The rally began in 1937 as a short race, but it got larger and larger every year. The events are sponsored by the Daytona Beach Chamber of Commerce.
