The Good Vibrations Motorcycle Rally

If you live near Salem, Oregon, and love to attend motorcycle rallies, get ready!  The Good Vibrations Rally will be held July 13, 14, and 15 (2012) at Salem/Keizer.  This year marks the third annual Good Vibrations rally, but while it doesn't have a lot of history, its organizers more than make up for that in enthusiasm and a desire to have a lot of fun.

This event is actually modeled on the Good Vibrations rally held annually in Reno, Nevada, but the clubs and groups of Oregon have put their own spin on it.  Activities are hosted by the cities of Salem, Keizer, and Dallas, Oregon, plus the Salem Harley-Davidson story, the Keizer Civic Center, and the Riverfront Park.  The Willamette Valley Vineyards and Orchard Heights Winery also take part in the event, hosting wine tastings.

This year's Good Vibrations rally will include live music, a parade, a classic car show, poker runs through the beautiful wine country, and live entertainment.  Some events are free to the public.  Others require motorcycle participants to pay a small registration fee, but in return, they get access to VIP breakfast gatherings and other special events.  The rally will be based out of Riverfront Park in Salem, but some of the events will take place in other areas.

While there's not much time left before the 2012 event, since no prior registration is required for much of this rally, there's still time to make plans and attend.  Just head up to Salem and join the fun!  You can listen to live bands, enjoy amazing food, check out the classic car show, and browse the many vendors displaying gear, parts, biker patches, and more.  A portion of the proceeds from the Good Vibrations rally benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Association and the Christian Motorcycle Association, so it's fun and supports good causes.
