A Great Patch for a Police Officer

Police PatchIf you're a police officer, you probably have an on-duty vest and other uniform items that you wear when you're out doing official police business.  However, if you're off-duty but still want people to know that you're an officer, you might want to add a few police patches to your jacket or vest.  There are a few reasons why you might want to do this.  Some officers feel like it's their duty to always be on call if they're needed.  To that end, they want people to be aware that there's an officer nearby in case of an emergency.

Others find that letting their occupation be known helps deter crimes around them.  Young adults and children tend to be more on their best behavior if they know there's a cop around watching them.  Of course, it's hard to tell how much crime this actually stops, but it can't hurt.

Then there are some police officers who like feeling important.  While they're usually in the minority, there are some who wear police patches and other identifying items just so people will give them a little more respect.

There are a number of different patches you can add to your outfits, but if you're going to be riding in the early morning or in the evening, you might want this reflective Police Patch.  It's a fairly good sized patch designed to be worn on the back of a vest or jacket.  It's reflective, which means people behind you will be able to see you and your motorcycle even in less than ideal viewing conditions.
