What is the End of the Trail statue?  It's one of the more famous statues made by James Earle Fraser, an American sculptor who created, among other things, the images found on the Indian Head nickel.  Fraser starting sculpting at a very young age, and by 14, he was taking classes at the Art Institute of Chicago.  Later, he studied in Paris with famed sculpture Augustus Saint Gaudens.  Some of Fraser's most famous pieces were later show with the World's Fair and the Panama-Pacific International Exposition.  The latter was where the End of the Trail debuted.  The statue was originally made out of plaster instead of bronze due to a metal shortage.  It started to deteriorate, but later, it was restored and is now displayed at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.

In addition to the statue, this patch also features a tanned hide and two feathers.  The coloring on the patch is very nice, with the white and blue feathers standing out against the orange, yellow, and white hide and the black statue.  The patch measures six by six.
