A Patch for Australian Riders

Kangaroo Sign patchIf you are from Australia, seeing a triangular yellow sign with a kangaroo on it might seem pretty normal.  It indicates a kangaroo crossing!  While these signs are not that common, especially in large cities and towns, you might occasionally see one out on the open road.  More often, though, you'll find signs like this used on items worn by Australian bikers.  They wear kangaroos to show that they're from Australia or have Australian heritage.  Any time someone outside of Australia sees a kangaroo, the Land Down Under is one of the first things they think about.

There may not be a huge number of Australian bikers in your area, but you can bet that the ones who do live there wear some kind of patch to show their love of their home country.  It might be an Australian flag, or it might be something like the Kangaroo Sign patch.  If you see it, you can greet the biker with a hearty 'Good day, mate!'  It's also a great way for bikers from Australia to recognize each other.  A motorcycle club made up of mostly Australian immigrants might even adopt the kangaroo as the official symbol of their club and wear it on all of their club jackets.

This small little kangaroo crossing patch can be added to just about any jacket.  You can also add it to things like caps or even backpacks.  It's a great addition to any item made out of cloth, especially if you want to make it clear that you're Australian.
