Have you ever noticed that fathers really love it when their children have the same interests as they do? That sentiment plays out in the Biker In Training patch found in the Biker Sayings section at The Cheap Place. This is a 3" x 1.5" patch that perfectly describes the thoughts of the biker dad as he ferries around his son or daughter on the back of his Harley. As far as he's concerned that child will one day following his footsteps. Or, should I say, in his saddle.
I remember having similar thoughts when my kids were young; wanting them all to be interested in pro football and politics. Unfortunately, none of them is interested in politics. And as for football, well...the sports of choice among my children are hockey, figure skating, and NASCAR. Not that I have any problem with the sports - but they're not football! Perhaps if I had purchased a "football fan in training" patch things may have turned out differently.
If you have a young biker in training you might do well to sew one of these patches on his leather vest, provided you got him one. If not, you can use the iron-on backing to attach it to a sweatshirt, or any other piece of clothing. Either way, your son or daughter will feel just like "one of the pack" with his own biker patch. Just do us all a favor and hold off on the tattoos until adulthood!
