A Patch for MGM

Im as mad as hell patchToday's offering is the I'm as Mad as Hell patch over in the IT-patches section. You might want to take a look before you keep reading, because along with my comments I have a trivia question: from what 1976 MGM film does the patch's statement come? If you don't know I'll give you a hint by telling you that it was a satirical movie about a fictional television network, and it starred Peter Finch, Faye Dunaway, and William Holden.

With that out of the way, one of the reasons I like this patch is its unusual shape. It's a two-tiered work with upper and lower levels offset slightly. It sort of reminds me of someone leaning out a window (hint, hint). The embroidered white lettering sits against a black background, making it stand out pretty forcefully. Mounted on black leather or some sort of black fabric would make the borders and the background pretty much disappear. I really like this one.

The statement this patch makes fits not only bikers, but anyone else who considers himself a modern-day rebel. I could see myself sewing it to the side of my leather holster just for effect. But I can also see myself attaching it to my black baseball cap, my leather computer bag, or even one of my t-shirts. This patch is so unique that it really can't be limited to a certain type of application.

By the way, the answer to the trivia question is Network.
