A Patch for North Dakota Bikers

North Dakota patchAre you from the state of North Dakota?  If you are, then you might want to let others know how much pride you have in your home state by wearing a North Dakota Patch.  The state was added to the U.S. in 1889, making it the 39th state.  Also known as the Peach Garden State, North Dakota is the third least populous, which in turn makes it one of the least densely populated states in the country.  This state name patch is the perfect way of letting people know you're one of the few people who live in such a beautiful location.

North Dakota has one of the strongest economies in the country.  In fact, in March of 2013, the state boasted the lowest unemployment rate in the nation.  A large part of this has to do with the Bakken oil fields, which are located in the western part of the state.

If you're visiting North Dakota, there are some amazing areas to ride through.  Even though it's the least visited states and isn't known for having major tourist attractions, it is home to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park.  Almost half a million people visit the park every year.  Those who enjoy camping may want to bike to the park and camp out for a few days.  Other tourist destinations include the capital of the state, Bismarck, and the largest city, Fargo.

The state of North Dakota is also known for being the home state of popular entertainers Lawrence Welk, singer Peggy Lee, actor Josh Duhamel, and radio talk show host Ed Schultz.
