With today (Nov. 11) being Veterans Day I thought I'd close out the week with the Korean Defense Patch -Embroidered Ribbon from the Military Patches section. This small, 4-inch patch commemorates the service of individual men and women who served in the Korean conflict of the 1950s.
Korea was a milestone in U.S. military operations in a number of ways, not the least of which is the fact that it was the first large-scale undertaking by the U.S. in a foreign country where it had no direct interests. It must have been difficult for those of you who served without the Grand Purpose of other wars. Many of you did not even understand why you were fighting, but your duty to country led you to do the right thing anyway.
On behalf of all America, let me offer my thanks to you...as well as all our military veterans. You all provide the muscle, protection, and blood of our Constitution. And we owe you a priceless debt of gratitude.
