In honor of California Gov. Jerry Brown I offer you the Got Gun patch from The Cheap Place's Second Amendment Patches category. In case you missed it, Gov. Brown signed a piece of legislation over the weekend making it illegal to carry unconcealed and unloaded guns in public in the Golden State. What was the logic behind the legislation? The fact that only the person carrying a gun knows whether or not it's loaded.
I don't know... you figure it out.
Anyway, this 3" x 1" patch is part of a set taking advantage of the old "got milk?" ad campaign used by the dairy industry. I think it's a great patch to wear if you are a hunter, sports shooter, police officer, or someone licensed to carry handguns. It's just a subtle reminder that our Constitution guarantees us the right to carry and bear arms in defense of our own lives, and those of our friends, family, and fellow countrymen.
Exactly where to mount this patch is entirely up to you. I think a vinyl or nylon gun bag would be awesome. It would also be pretty cool glued to an ammunition box or mounted on a nylon holster that you wear on your hip. Unfortunately for me, I live in New York State, so my holster is always concealed under a jacket or shirt. I would have to mount this patch on a gun bag or an exterior piece of clothing.
