A Rocker Patch for those who served in Afghanistan

Afghanistan 2009 Rocker PatchThe conflict in Afghanistan is technically still ongoing ? it began in 2001 with the September 11 terrorist attacks on the United States, and while many major victories have been won, the war hasn't officially ended.  Troops are being withdrawn slowly, but soldiers may still be called upon to do a tour of duty in Afghanistan.  If you were a part of the allied forces in the country in 2009, This Afghanistan 2009 Rocker Patch will let you proudly declare it.  It's one of the many great Military Patches you will find on The Cheap Place.

The Afghanistan War officially started on October 7, 2001.  The battle has mostly been confined to the country, although some conflicts have spilled over into other areas.  Among the major victories in the conflict include the removal of the Taliban from power, the death of Osama bin Laden in 2011, and the creation of the new Afghan Government and security force.  An exit strategy was officially outlined and approved on May 2, 2011.  The plan calls for all U.S. troops to have withdrawn from the country by the end of 2014.

This is a rocker patch, so it's designed to sit on the shoulder of your jacket.  However, you can also put it on the front of your vest or jacket.  It measures four inches across and an inch and a half.  The patch features black lettering embroidered on a tan patch.  The back of the cheap patch is coated with a special plastic backing that, when heated, melts onto the clothing.  This permanently attaches it.  You can also sew the patch on, which is often the better method since using a household iron won't make it look professional.
