Do you remember the Got Milk? advertising campaign first launched back in 1993? I hope so, because those ads are still running some 18 years later. Anyway, I've chosen the Got Patches patch for today's blog post. The slogan is based on the advertising campaign and it's part of a set of patches The Cheap Place carries. All told there are five patches in this set. I'll leave you to look up the rest of them on your own.
These patches are small enough (3" x 1") that I think it would be cool to buy all five and spread them out in various places on your leather jacket. As soon as people saw the first two they would stop and scan your jacket for the rest of them. I'm thinking this would be a great conversation starter and a way to make a couple of new friends while you're out riding around. And since they're pretty inexpensive you can buy all five without spending a whole lot of money.
What's nice about these patches is the fact that if you're mounting to anything other than leather, you can do so with a hot iron. There's a seat-sensitive adhesive backing that will stick to denim, nylon, and just about any other kind of fabric. Of course, it never hurts to throw in a stitch or two on either end just to be sure the patch stays in place. So if you got a bike, it's time you got patches.
