If you're a firefighter, a family member of a firefighter, or someone whose life has been touched by these brave men and women, then you might want to honor their service with a patch from the Firemen Patches category. One of my favorite is the 9 11 Patch, Honor The Finest and Bravest. This patch was created after the events of September 11 as a way of remembering and honoring the firefighters, police officers, and other servicemen and women who selflessly gave of themselves (some even gave their lives) to save victims of the attack.
The patch itself features Lady Liberty standing in front of the New York City skyline (including the Twin Towers). I like how it has two circles of text (the inner one with 'United we stand America's Heroes' and the outer one with 'Honor the Finest & Bravest' and the date of 'September 11, 2001'). This means the text can be larger, and it's easier to read. The entire patch has a thick outer border in bright red, too, which really makes it stand out.
There are a lot of different 9/11 patches, stickers, and other items out there, but I really like this tone. It has a unique image on it. I haven't seen many that feature the Statue of Liberty and the World Trade Center towers. Most seem to go with a large American flag or an eagle. While there are two small flags in the inner circle, they're not overly large, and they don't detract from the main image of the statue.
The patch measures three by three, so it can fit on many different items. If you're looking for some way of honoring the finest and bravest who risked their lives in New York on that fateful day, I think patch is perfect.
