If You're From Texas, This Patch is Perfect for You

Texas flag PatchThere are a lot of different flags out there.  If you're from the United States, you probably know what your state's flag looks like, but you might not know any of the others.  While many state flags aren't known outside of their state, the Texas state flag is somewhat more popular.  This is because the Texas flag was also the first national flag of the Republic of Texas before that independent nation became a part of the U.S.  If you're from Texas, add the State Flag Patch to your jacket or vest.  It's in the Flag Patches category.

The Texas flag is known as the Lone Star Flag, and it's the reason Texas is sometimes called the Lone Star State.  According to the official definition, the flag consists of three colors.  The left-most third of the flag is blue with a single white star in the center of the strip.  The right two-thirds are split horizontally: the top part is white, while the bottom part is red.

During the Texas Revolution, there were a number of different flags used for the emerging nation.  One was very similar to the U.S. flag, while another featured a black star, black town cannon, and the phrase 'Come and Take It' on white.  The final design was created in Montgomery County and was introduced by Senator William H. Wharton.  It became the national flag on January 25, 1839, and later became the state flag in December of 1845 when Texas joined the Union.

The Texas Flag Patch measures two inches tall by three inches wide.  It features die cut white borders that make it easy to sew it on to leather and heat-activated adhesive for ironing it on to other materials.
