If you served in the United States armed forces, then you should be sure to let everyone know that you were in expeditionary missions overseas with this Armed Forces Expeditionary Patch. This simple U.S. Veterans Patch is one that you can attach to any number of clothing items or accessories and wear with pride. An Expeditionary Veteran served overseas on political or peacekeeping missions that were not officially declared wars. This means that more and more people are being considered as members of expeditionary teams as the U.S. becomes involved in more international activities.
The patch is a relatively small rectangular one that measures four inches by one and a half inches in size. It's a plain black twill patch with black die-cut edges. On the top of the patch is the banner for the Expeditionary Veterans with alternating ribbons of green, yellow, brown, black, light blue, blue, white, red, light blue, black, brown, yellow, and green. Underneath the ribbon are the words 'ARMED FORCES EXPEDITIONARY VETERAN' broken up in two lines that are both centered on the patch with bright white thread.
The back of this patch has been coated with a special heat activated adhesive that will allow it to be attached to many types of fabrics simply by using an iron to put heat and pressure on the patch. However, if you are putting the patch onto leather then you will want to sew it on instead. The heat from the iron can cause puckering on the leather and can disfigure it. You can sew the patch on by hand or with a machine; just be sure to go around the edges to secure it in place completely.
