No Cowboy Outfit is Complete without this Patch

Cowboy patchAre you a cowboy?  For some, this word conjures up images of old, grizzly looking men in faded clothing on horseback rounding up cattle.  That's something of a stereotype, of course.  Today's modern cowboy is just as likely to be wearing designer jeans as old, ratty ones, and he may have traded in his horse for an all-terrain vehicle or motorcycle.  Cowboys also aren't seen exclusively on ranches or farms now.  The term has come to describe a look or style, not a job or lifestyle.  This Cowboy Patch from The Cheap Place's Rebel Patches lets you put a label on yourself just in case some people don't readily identify you as a cowboy.

Cowboys often do love horses and horseback riding.  Some even have their own horse.  While some ride for the sheer enjoyment of it, others ride to win races or other types of competitions.  For some, it's not really about the activities as the look: they wear a cowboy hat, Western style clothing, and a long duster.  For cowboys who bike, of course, the duster may not be the best coat, so they'll instead wear a standard biker jacket and cover it with motorcycle patches like this one.  However, this patch could be attached to a duster if you wanted to add it to your favorite one.

The Cowboy Patch measures 3.5 inches wide by 1.5 inches tall.  It's a fairly simple patch featuring only the word 'cowboy' embroidered in white on a black background.  To add it to your jacket, hat, vest, or other cloth item, all you have to do is iron it on.  This activates the plastic backing and bonds the patch to the item.  If you're putting it on something leather, be sure to sew it on instead so you don't damage it.
