October Means Skull Patches

Pirate Skull PatchIt's October once again and that means all things creepy. So as we begin gearing up for Halloween at the end of the month I thought I would delve into the Skull Patches section at The Cheap Place. The patch I want to talk about in today's blog is the 3" Pirate Skull patch complete with eye patch and red bandanna. Although a careful comparison shows it's not the same design as the Tampa Bay Bucs skull mascot, that's what it reminds me of.

Patches featuring skulls or skeletons are common for bikers. But this time of year they make a great addition to a T-shirt, backpack, jacket, or whatever. And here's an idea: if you have a backpack you use for work, or jacket you use most often, why not just temporarily stitch this patch on for October, replaced it with something new in November, and then again something Christmas-like in December?

It's easy to do. Rather than stitch all the way around the patch you just use 4 or 6 small loops in various places around the perimeter. That will hold well enough for the month yet will make it easy to snip off at the end of the month and replace it with something new. It's a great way to wear patches seasonally rather than have them permanently affixed all the time. And if you're a reseller, remember that all of the patches at The Cheap Place are available for wholesale as well.
