Rock this Ranger Rocker Patch

Ranger rocker PatchIf you're looking for military patches, The Cheap Place has you covered.  They've got so many, they've had to break them out into sub-categories so they're easier to browse.  In the U.S. Army Patches area, you'll find many different patches featuring the army logo, images related to the army, and some patches for army subdivisions.  One of these division, the rangers, is represented by the Ranger Rocker Patch, which is a pretty simple patch for a group of soldiers who are anything but simple.

The U.S. Army Rangers is the elite division of the U.S. army.  To become a ranger, one must first go through basic army training and then graduate from the U.S. Army Ranger School.  They go through a specialized training regimen and are often sent on very dangerous missions.  Currently, the 75th Ranger Regiment consists of four battalions of rangers and is headquartered at Fort Benning, Georgia.  Three of these battalions are rapid-deploy light infantry special operations battalions, while the other is a special troops battalion.  One of the three light infantry battalions is always ready to deploy to any location world-wide within 18 hours.

This patch represents what has been called the Ranger Tab, an arch with the word 'Ranger' on it in yellow.  This logo was first introduced during the Korean War, during which 17 ranger companies were formed.  These companies saw combat during 1950 and 1951 and took part in scouting, patrolling, and ambush counterattack missions.

This military patch measures three by one and a half inches.  It has thick die-cut borders in the same yellow as the word 'Ranger' to make it easier to sew it onto leather and other materials.
