Wow, that's a big bird! The Americas Bravest Fire Dept Eagle Drop Wings Patch, which you can find in the Firemen Patches category, is one of the biggest and coolest eagle patches I've seen. It's not the largest patch on the site, but still, it measures 11 inches by 11 inches, so it's definitely going to take up the whole back of a vest or jacket. Because it's so big, it's very detailed, and you'll find people walking around behind you just to get a better look at this awesome patch.
The golden eagle is one of the most well-known images associated with the United States, and it's often found on patriotic items. Here, the eagle is mixed with the fire department flag and the U.S. flag as a way of honoring America's firefighters and paying tribute to those who have given their lives to save others from fire. I really like how the fire department banner and the U.S. flag split into feathers at the end of each wing. It makes these two flags really look like they're printed on the eagle's wings, plus adding feathers to the end of the U.S. flag is a different look that I haven't seen before.
I love large patches because they can be so detailed. You can see a lot of the individual feathers on the eagle's wings and bodies, plus his talons are very distinct. Even the banner is a little more detailed than you'd find on a smaller patch. Larger patches can also use more colors, as you can tell just by looking at this one.
