Over in the Small Cool Patches section are some new arrivals. Today's post topic, the powder-blue and white Coexist patch is one of them, and I must admit that even I am stumped. I say "stumped" because I am well versed in world religions and can recognize most of their symbols. Indeed, I recognized most of the symbols on this patch, but there's one I have been unable to figure out.
The first one is the moon and star of Islam. Next is the universal peace sign, followed by the male/female equality symbol. After that is the Star of David, another symbol in the letter "i", the Chinese Yin and Yang, and the Christian cross. The one that has me stumped is the letter "i". Perhaps if you know you can leave a comment or two.
Now, I don't know whether I should actually comment on the message of this patch. I mean, what does the creator mean by coexist? And under certain definitions, don't we already do so? I guess it's not for me to ask or answer those questions; I'm simply just to tell you about the patch. It might be a good one for you to put on a bandanna or a cutoff jean jacket. It might also be good to sew to the back pocket of your jeans - if you're so inclined. You might even be able to buy a bumper sticker that matches it. How cool would that be?
