The Good News On a Patch

You know what I love most about biker patches? Some of the hilarious things they say make me laugh until I cry. For instance, The Cheap Place has a Biker Sayings section with all kinds of patches that will make you laugh your butt off. The Good News patch is just one example. This black-and-white piece, measuring 4" x 2.25", is based on an old car insurance ad featuring people who would proclaim, in the strangest of circumstances, that they just saved a bunch of money on their car insurance by switching to this company. If you don't know what commercials I'm talking about, I won't bother to explain; it wouldn't make sense to you anyhow.

When you buy biker patches for your vest or jacket, you can run the gamut from the crude and vulgar to the fun and innocent. The choice is yours. My personal preference is to avoid the vulgar and run toward the fun -- which is why I love this Good News patch so much. Not that I would condone outrunning the cops to avoid a ticket, it's just that playing off the insurance commercials makes this funny. Nonetheless, outrunning the cops is certainly one way to avoid a ticket and a prevent your insurance from going up.

If you were a biker pulled over for speeding, maybe the officer would get a chuckle out of this patch. You could get off with just a  warning. Then again, if he's not amused you could be in trouble.
