I was browsing through the military patches at The Cheap Place when I ran across the US Army Olive patch. It reminded me of my late brother who was in MP in the Army back in the early 1980s. It reminded me of him because he was significantly taller than I am, so that when I stood next to him the US Army strip patch over his breast pocket was at the same height as my shoulders.
Anyway, this patch is nearly identical to those on the uniforms issued by the U.S. Army. Since there are no copyrights for government-owned logos and insignias patch makers are free to create these pieces. So if you're an army vet in need of a replacement patch of this type, you can get it from The Cheap Place pretty inexpensively. If you want to decorate some other clothing as well you could purchase multiple copies.
I also thought about a local theater group who put on a production a few years ago featuring an Army soldier. They made a good uniform but it was noticeably lacking in patches. I realized groups like them could purchase military patches from a company like The Cheap Place. They could even create their own fictional military units and have custom patches made; all they would have to do is submit a design. That's just one of the reasons why The Cheap Place is such a great company to do business with!
