Sometimes it all turns out okay, but sometimes, these turn out to be his famous last words. It's not limited to bikers, either, of course, plenty of people shout these words out before they do something really stupid and get themselves hurt.
Why do people do this? Some like the attention and want everyone to watch the stunt they're about to do. Some are adrenaline junkies and simply love the rush and the thrill of doing dangerous things. Others just want to do it because they want to see if they can. Of course, if you're uttering these words, you certainly want to make sure that whatever you're about to attempt isn't truly life threatening. If you think you might get hurt, you should probably reconsider or at least have a first aid kit on hand! Otherwise, well, you never know what might happen. You don't want 'watch this' to be your famous last words.
