This large blank patch measures 12 by 4 inches, so you've got plenty of room to take your own thread and embroider your own message or design. You could even do an image of a dragon or snake if you wanted since the patch is so long. If you want to put it across the top of your jacket or vest, put the arch at the top. Want it on the bottom? Just turn it around. Get two and do your first and last name or make matching designed to put above and below a large back patch. There's a lot you can do with these big, blank patches. You could even put them vertical instead of horizontal for a different kind of look.
Blank patches are easy to make: all you have to know is a few simple embroidery stitches. Note that these blank patches must be sewn on to your clothing. They do not come with the iron-on plastic backing because it would make it difficult to embroider your design the patch if you had to go through the plastic.
