This Native American Dreamcatcher Patch is Amazing

Feather Dreamcatcher Eagle Patch mediumAre you looking for a great patch that not only looks amazing but is full of symbolism and meaning?  There are a number of biker patches that feature symbolic images.  Many of these patches can be found in the Native American category.  One of the most detailed and meaningful patches is the Feather Dreamcatcher Eagle Patch.  It looks really amazing, especially when combined with other Native American patches.  This patch includes a dreamcatcher with an eagle in front of it and a pair of feathers on the side.

The dreamcatcher is often hung in the window above a child's bed.  According to lore, good dreams are small enough to pass through the spaces in the dreamcatcher and reach the sleeping child, but nightmares are too large, and they get stuck.  Sometimes, the story is reversed, and the dreamcatcher catches good dreams and keeps them for people to experience.

Dreamcatchers usually have at least one feather tied to them.  Sometimes it's on the side, like in this patch, and sometimes they hang from the bottom.  Feathers represent air and breath, which is vital for life.  These feathers are usually from an eagle (standing for courage) or an owl (for wisdom).

The eagle can mean more than courage.  It's often associated with men and male energy.  It may stand for action, focus, vision, and opportunity.  The eagle is sometimes referred to as the incarnation of the Thunderbird, a powerful Native American spirit.

This is a medium sized patch measuring six inches across and tall.  It's mostly circular with the exception of the feathers on the left side.  Because it's larger that many patches, there are many details and colors in the patch.  It's made from rayon embroidery thread on a velvet background.
