U.S. Army Veterans

Veteran US Army PatchThere are many U.S. army veterans who, upon leaving the armed forces, decide to get a motorcycle and join a club.  They love riding with some of their veteran friends or with new biker buddies.  Since the army was founded as the Continental Army in 1775, veterans have looked to each other for support and companionship after leaving the service.  While they do find common interests and make friends with others who aren't veterans, many do love spending time with those who were in the military because they have things in common.

Today, the U.S. Army is a part of the Department of Defense.  The Secretary of the Army, a civilian officer, is the top ranking individual, while the top military officer is the Chief of Staff of the Army.  Overall, the highest-ranking officer in the Army is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  Of course, most Army personnel will not reach these ranks.  In 2011, the army had over 545,000 soldiers; its mission is to preserve the peace of the U.S. and its territories.  The service also strives to support and implement national policies and handle aggressive actions aimed at the United States.

If you're a veteran biker and want to show how proud you were of your service, you can add one of the many different U.S. Army patches to your biker jacket.  One of the most popular is the Veteran US Army Patch.  It's a round patch that can be added to the sleeve of your jacket or the back.
