Those who lost someone in the September 11, 2001, attacks will never forget the horrible tragedy of the day. Their lives were forever changed by the terrorists' actions, the destruction of the World Trade Centers, and the attack on the Pentagon. To honor those lost, many have taken to wearing 911 Patches on their jackets, vests, or other articles of clothing. One of the simplest and yet most attention-grabbing patches for this is the 9 11 01 We Will Never Forget patch.
There were four airplanes involved in the attacks. Two were flown into the World Trade Center towers,one into the North Tower and one into the South. Another flight was crashed into the Pentagon. Then there was the fourth flight, which crashed into the ground after the passengers fought back and overpowered their attackers. The first plane crashed into the North Tower at 8:46 am; the last, the plane that crashed into the ground, went down at 10:30 am. There were a total of 2,996 deaths in the attacks, including all of the passengers on the four planes, victims in the towers, and victims at the Pentagon. The 19 hijackers also died.
This patch can be worn in memory of any victim. There are a number of 9/11 patches and other items that show the World Trade Center towers, leaving out those who died on the planes or the Pentagon. This simple patch features only the date and the slogan 'We Will Never Forget' on a background of red. The text is easy to read, the red really stands out, and the patch is easy to attach to any garment. This is a plain, simple way of honoring those lost in the 9/11 attacks.
