What's the Opposite of Patches?

Here at The Cheap Place they have a lot of small cool patches. One of them is the 3" Ying and Yang patch. You know...that Chinese symbol with the two black and white tadpoles? I don't know which one is which, but the black one has a white eye and the white one a black eye. I'm sure you've seen it.

Before we go any further though, I feel the need to point out that we Americans aren't saying it right when we say "Ying" and Yang. In Chinese, the first symbol "Yin", not "Ying". It's a spiritual symbol which supposedly exemplifies the fact that everything in the universe has an opposite. In fact, Eastern mysticism claims there is no right and wrong or good and evil - just opposites.

So, if the Yin of the biker world is Harley-Davidson, what's the Yang? Victory, perhaps? Maybe Triumph or Indian? I don't know. But I suspect if I went on a couple of biker forums and started throwing the question around I would be run over by tons of Harley snobs who believe nothing else will do. And that's okay, they have the right to their opinion. I'm the same way about pizza.

Anyway, the Ying and Yang patch represents one of the most widely known symbols in the world. If you want to be cool and look enlightened, spend a couple of bucks and get one. Who knows, you may meet the Yin that goes perfectly with your Yang.
