What's With the Skull Patches?

Skull patches. If you've ever seen a large group of bikers together in one place, you know that skulls are all over their vests and tattoos.

I guess I don't really know how I feel about that.  On the one hand it's rather morbid, yet on the other hand it definitely sends a message of, "Don't fool around with me or I'll mess you up!"  And I suppose the biker without a skull or two wouldn't look much like a biker, now would he?  No...he wouldn't

It's probably a good thing that thecheapplace.com carries a bunch of different skull patches.  For bikers who don't prefer the morbid image that goes with the standard skull and crossbones, the Pirates Skull patch takes the edge off.  People who see it will probably think of pirates before anything else, and thanks to the recent spate of popular of pirates movies, it conjures up romantic images of the great life of the 18th century Caribbean pirates.  If I were a biker buying a skull patch, I'd probably choose that one to start.

On the other end of the scale is the red and white Old Skool Bikers patch which measures 11' x 10'.  The lettering on this one has been designed to look like dripping blood.  That says it all.  Sewing this patch on the back of your jacket lets everyone know you have the old school attitude, unbridled by the modern "touchy-feely" can't-we-all-just-get-along mindset.  If you were wearing Old Skool patch and I came across you in a dark alley, I would keep on walking for sure.

The cheapplace.com even has a Skeleton Middle Finger patch for bikers who really want to tell others what they think of them.  This patch definitely sends a strong 'screw you' signal, however rude or distasteful it may seem to those who see it.  But then again, isn't the rebel attitude part of the nature of most bikers? Sure it is. Why would I expect anything less from this infamous segment of our society?

I guess if I were serious biker with my own Harley Hawg, I would succumb to the fashion statements of the day and sew at least one or two skull patches on my jacket.  After all, I'm a football fan with team patches, so if I were a biker I would need skulls. At the end of the day, if you're going to be a biker you have to look like one. Even if that means a skull with flaming eyes staring down the guy in the family sedan following you too closely.

All the patches found at thecheapplace.com are made with the best materials and craftsmanship around. They will ship your orders free of charge in most cases, and they offer bulk discounts to wholesalers and retailers. After you're done looking at all the skull patches you're so curious about now, be sure to check out all the rest of the stuff they have. It's all good.
