We've talked about some of the biker patches featuring biblical verses and other Christian sayings before, and here's another great one. The patch features the recently popular saying about God being a copilot. However, it twists it around a bit. The If God Is Your Copilot Try Switching Seats patch will give people something to think about after the read it a few times and realize what it's saying. You'll find it in the Christian Patches category.
While it seems like the phrase has become very popular lately due to politicians and other public figures using it, the truth is that the saying is very old. While he may not have coined the phrase, Brigadier General Robert L. Scott, Jr., used the phrase'God is My Co-Pilot' as the title of his first autobiography. The book was published in 1943 and made into a film in 1945. Scott wrote about his time with the Flying Tigers and his tour of duty with the Air Force during World War II. Much of the book and film deal with Scott's volunteer mission to perform a secret bombing raid on the city of Tokyo and, later, his work in China.
When people say that God is their copilot, they're saying that their lord is right there beside them guiding their actions and giving them a helping hand when they need it. This patch is saying, though, that they've got it all wrong. Instead of God being the copilot, he should be the pilot, so you need to switch sets. The patch is four inches wide by one inch long and features white writing on a black background.
