One of the oldest sayings for wishing a traveler success in their journey is 'God speed'. It's one of those traditional sayings that is actually still in fairly common use today. It's not even considered that religious any longer, although it can be. The phrase 'God speed' was used in Middle English, and it later came to be used as an alternative to saying goodbye to someone. If you wish to always let your fellow riders know you hope their travels go well, add a God Speed Patch to your jacket. This very attractive patch is located in the Christian Patches category.
What I really love about this patch is how it looks. The patch features a gorgeous Christian cross backed by a pair of silver wings. The 'God Speed' is actually somewhat small and placed above the rest of the patch. Imagine putting this on the back of a jacket. It would look almost like airman wings or a cool metal pin. Of course, you'll need a good amount of space the patch does measure 6 by 3.75 inches, so it probably won't fit on the front of a vest.
This patch was designed by Arturo Vilmenay, an awesome artist who has also created some of The Cheap Place's other patches. There's a lot of detail on the patch, such as individual feathers and jewels on the cross. As with all the patches on the site, you can iron it on or sew it on to your clothing.
Let others know you wish them good travels with this patch!
