It's a great saying, and it's very true. Unfortunately, sometimes people forget this important lesson. By wearing this patch in a visible place, you can remind people of this saying. If you end up dealing with someone who isn't giving you or someone else the respect they deserve, just point to it as a way of letting them know they're not following this golden rule.
The Give Respect Get Respect patch measures three by one and a half inches. It isn't a perfect rectangle, though, like many sayings patches. Instead, the outline of the patch curves around the edges of the outside letters. It can be ironed on to any material except leather, it's got to be sewn on leather or the heat-activated adhesive could ruin the clothing.
