Now here's something you don't see every day: a laughing donkey depicted on a patch. We've seen a lot of interesting, embroidered patch designs over the years, but this one probably ranks near the top of the list in terms of its intrigue.
First of all, a laughing donkey is an interesting subject for art. Embroidered patches are art, by the way. Second, it takes a special kind of person to sew a donkey patch to a jacket, vest, or hat. Be proud of yourself if you are that person.
With the Laughing Donkey iron-on patch you get a high quality piece measuring roughly 2.75 x 3 inches. You also get fantastic embroidery in fine detail. We are not quite sure how the manufacturer managed to replicate the coarse hair donkeys are known for, but it looks spectacular, nonetheless.
Choose this particular patch for your biker club if you're all into donkeys. Better yet, it is the perfect patch if people in the community like to refer to your members as asses. You could all wear this patch and they would never know they were being mocked. How fun is that?
The Laughing Donkey iron-on patch features the same plastic backing with the activated glue that our patches are known for. The patch is small enough to glue to a fabric receptive to heat mounting. Think cotton, poly-cotton blends, and even denim. Forget about leather and vinyl, though. Using hot iron with either material can lead to very bad things.
If you would rather sew the patch on instead, choose a sturdy black thread you can hide in the border. Use a small, tight stitch all the way around for a snug fit that prevents curling. The patch will stay secure for as long as you let it remain.
