There is just something about spiders. You either love them or hate them. If you are in the love camp, we would like to introduce you to the Mechanical Spider large back patch. This would be a fantastic back patch for any club that has chosen the spider as its mascot.
If you ride without a club and need a back patch to adorn your vest or jacket, this is still an excellent choice. The image itself is rather interesting. It's almost reminiscent of something out of a sci-fi film. After all, it's not every day you see a spider made from stainless steel, titanium, or aluminum.
Although the color palette for this particular design is pretty basic, modern embroidery has made it possible to produce a realistic image through a clever use of shading. Different shades of gray give the spider depth and texture. Using red for the eyes was a stroke of genius. They stick out nicely.
As a back patch for bikers, this one measures 12 x 11 inches. We have a smaller version of this design, too. The larger patch is best attached clothing with needle and thread due to its size, shape, and weight. We wouldn't recommend using the heat-activated glue – especially with leather and nylon.
A solid stitch with black thread all the way around the border should do the trick. Make the stitch nice and tight and you won't have to worry about the corners curling up. The patch's rigid plastic backing will help it hold its shape for years to come.
The Cheap Place stocks everything we sell. That means if you order today, we will have your patch on its way the same or next day. If you spend at least $50, we'll even throw in shipping for free.
