Having a motorcycle is one of the most thrilling things you can own. Being able to jump on the back of your bike and ride the open roads gives you such a buzz. I have had bikes for years now and I have never tired of them. Some of my friends had bikes when they were younger but as they got older, they decided that it was time to settle down and buy a car or van instead.
It may also have something to do with the fact that a lot of my friends have married and are now starting families. A motorcycle is not exactly conducive to heading out for a family day out! But for me, the thrill never went away and I really don't think it ever will. Every time I get on my bike, I feel the same sense of anticipation and excitement, knowing that I am heading out for a ride.
I know I'll eventually settle down to married life and start a family but I'd like to think that I can still keep my bike while my wife gets a car. Heading to work on my bike is fantastic too as I can beat the traffic. I don't have to sit in traffic jams when I have my bike because it is easy to slip past the cars. This is really one of the best things about it. I cannot stand being stuck in a jam.
One of the other things I love about my bike is the breakneck speeds I can reach. I have a saying biker patch on my jacket which I absolutely love. You do not get the same thrill from riding around slowly on a motorcycle.
And I know I might be putting my life at risk by driving so fast but I do still try to be careful. I have been riding my bike for years and it is like second nature to me. My bike actually feels like an extra limb which does exactly what I want it to. However, I'm not stupid or naive enough to think that I won't ever get into an accident. I know I am taking a risk every time I go past the speed limit. That is why I have another biker patch on my jacket in the event that I am injured while out on my bike.
I purchased one of the Blood Type Patches from TheCheapplace.com which shows what blood group I am. This fantastic patch also has a space for me to put my name which is a great idea. It gives me a little peace of mind when I am out and about. Knowing that should I need a blood transfusion in a hurry, the paramedics or medical staff will know my blood type if I am unable to tell them, is a great comfort.
