At first sight, the Astronaut Biker patch conjures up images of a typical crotch rocket. At least that's the case here at The Cheap Place. We have our fair share of hotshots racing through the streets of our area on their crotch rockets. Maybe they are channeling their inner astronauts. Who knows?
Regardless, the Astronaut Biker patch is one of those embroidered patches that doesn't fit the mold. There aren't any flames or skulls. There isn't any dark imagery. The design is not even necessarily cute. But it is unique. There is no getting around that.
This is one of our smaller embroidered patches at just 3.5 x 2.75 inches. Amazingly though, modern embroidery gives it quite a bit of detail. Look closely and you can see the ridges in the astronaut’s costume. You can also see some detail in his backpack and helmet. Even the reflection on his visor adds a level of detail surprising for a patch this small.
If you are into space travel and bikes, get one of these patches for yourself. It's the perfect size to sew to the breast of a collared work shirt. Sew it directly to the breast pocket or just above it. You can even attach it without needle and thread using household iron or heat press, as long as your garment is cotton or denim.
You do get a black die cut border here, so you can attach the patch with a high quality black thread. We recommend using the smallest diameter needle you have that will pierce the patch without bending. Smaller diameter needles are easier to work with when you are mounting patches.
Whether you own a bike or not, embroidered patches make for fantastic decorative items that can dress up any piece of fabric. Our Astronaut Biker deserves a home with you.
