There are embroidered patches, and then there are creepy embroidered patches. The Jester Bending Knee patch certainly qualifies for the creepy category. It is a good thing this guy isn't real, otherwise he could be a problem during Mardi Gras. He would make the perfect mascot for a biker club looking to name itself after jesters, jokers, or creepy clowns.
Just look at his face. It is not clear whether the patch's designer was trying to make him look happy or evil. Or maybe he's supposed to be happily evil. Who knows? The one thing we do know is that this 4 x 3.2-inch patch reaches out and grabs you with its bold, bright color. Imagine seeing it mounted against a black or brown leather background. Outstanding!
Because the patch is taller than it is wide, it probably wouldn't do well on the breast of a jacket or vest if there is a pocket in play. Otherwise, a breast position shouldn't be a problem. But consider mounting it on the shoulder instead. You could also use it to flank a back patch with a similar theme.
The Jester Bending Knee patch would also be a good choice for musicians. You could glue it to your guitar case or any of the cases you carry your gear in. If you are not a musician, maybe you carry a shoulder or waist bag. Either one would make a good canvas for embroidered patches.
What makes this patch work is its combination of color and intricate design. It is really a lot of fun to look at. Now, if the jester’s face creeps you out, we do have plenty of other embroidered patches that could very well be your cup of tea. Take a look around. The Cheap Place has something for everyone.
