What do you get when you cross a playing card with a famous DC Comics character and put it all together on an embroidered biker patch? You get the Joker Card patch found here at The Cheap Place. This one-of-a-kind patch is unique on so many levels.
First, it's a play on words. Every red-blooded American who has ever shuffled a deck of cards knows that a brand-new deck has two jokers. The jokers are ignored more often than not, but sometimes they are incorporated into the game being played.
Second, the image on this particular patch is eerily reminiscent to the live action Joker character portrayed by numerous actors including Conrad Veidt, Cesar Romero, Heath ledger, and Joaquin Phoenix. It is not an exact replica of any of those live action performances for obvious reasons.
The result is a fantastic, embroidered patch with a ton of color and in-your-face imagery. This is definitely a patch that can’t be easily ignored. Once it catches your eye, you're done. You might just as well give in and be mesmerized by its combination of sinister eeriness and inescapable nostalgia.
The patch has been designed as a 2.25 x 3 inch vertical rectangle. That may limit where you decide to mount it. Good options include either the outside shoulder on a leather jacket, above or below a back patch, on the front of a baseball cap, or on the front face of a backpack.
Should you choose to sew the patch on, look for a thread in a similar shade of yellow. That way, you can hide it in the border. Should you choose to iron it on, you should have no problem with either a heat press or household iron. As always, don't use heat with leather or nylon. Excessive heat can damage both materials.
