Viking Dragon and Axes Patch measures 12x9.8 inches and is Embroidered in Black / Red / Blue / Gray / Brown. The patch can be sewn on to Leather Biker Jackets, Vests or Chaps. The patch can also be ironed on to Shirts, Hats or Denim material such as Jeans. Features plastic iron on backing and clean laser cut embroidered borders. Japanese made iron on glue requires temperature between 270-290 Degrees Fahrenheit. Use a heat press for 30 seconds to adhere the patch permanently to your clothing. Using a regular household iron will probably not be as permanent as one hopes. If possible we recommend you sew on your patches for a more durable application. Never iron on patches to Leather or Nylon materials.
The embroidered patch in the image features a bold and fantastical design centered around a dragon's head, combined with elements that evoke a Viking or Norse aesthetic. The patch has a circular shape with additional elements extending from the sides, giving it a shield-like appearance.
At the center of the patch is the head of a dragon, facing forward with a fierce expression. The dragon is primarily blue, with detailed stitching in various shades of blue to create depth and texture. Its scales are highlighted with lighter blue and white threads, giving it a shimmering, almost metallic look. The dragon has prominent horns on its head, which are also blue with white accents, and its eyes are a piercing white with black pupils, adding to its menacing appearance. The dragon's mouth is open, showing sharp white teeth, which enhances its ferocious demeanor.
Behind the dragon's head is a circular background that resembles a Viking shield, embroidered in red with black and gray accents. The shield has a segmented design, with concentric rings and rivet-like details in gray, giving it a sturdy, battle-ready appearance. Within the shield, there are two runestones or circular symbols, one on the left and one on the right, each containing a Norse rune. The runes are stitched in beige with black outlines, and they appear to be from the Elder Futhark alphabet, often associated with Viking culture. The rune on the left resembles "Sowilo" (ᛋ), which symbolizes the sun, success, or power, while the rune on the right looks like "Raidho" (ᚱ), representing travel, rhythm, or a journey. These runes add a layer of cultural symbolism to the design.
In front of the dragon's head, there are two crossed battle axes, positioned diagonally to form an "X" shape. The axes have wooden handles stitched in brown, with detailed grain patterns, and the blades are gray with white highlights, giving them a sharp, metallic look. The axes are positioned as if they are protecting or framing the dragon, reinforcing the warrior-like theme of the patch.
The patch has a black background, and its border is irregular, following the contours of the shield and axes. The border is outlined with a black zigzag stitch, typical for embroidered patches to prevent fraying and provide a clean edge. The overall shape of the patch is circular at the top, with the axes extending outward on the sides, giving it a dynamic and balanced composition.
The patch is placed on a dark fabric surface, likely black or dark gray denim, which contrasts with the vibrant colors of the design and makes them stand out. This patch combines elements of fantasy and Norse mythology, with the dragon symbolizing power, magic, or protection, and the Viking shield, runes, and axes adding a warrior-like, historical element. It’s likely intended for decorative use, such as being sewn onto jackets, vests, or bags, to add a bold and symbolic statement. The design might appeal to someone with an interest in fantasy, Viking culture, or a combination of both, evoking themes of strength, adventure, and mysticism.
