The Patch Briefcase is made in house at our woodshop here in Florida. We use half inch thick sanded plywood framed using three quarter inch thick pine.

The briefcase is essentially two of our common displays put together using hinges and latch locks. We even added a handle to make it easy to carry.
The display measures 24 inches wide 32 inches tall (the handle sticks out an extra 2 inches. This is a prototype and we'll most likely use collapsable handles so they'll take up less space in your van and have less chances of getting broken off when things start to shuffle around in your trailer). Once closed the display is 4.5 inches thick. There are two hinges that lets you open and close it with ease. There are two latch locks that keep it closed.
There are many different display configurations. This one has 120 slots for our 4x1.5 inch saying patches. You can get away with putting 4x1.75 or 4x2 inch patches too but we recommend you get the 1.5 inch tall ones. Each slot can easily take up to 10 of each design. Patches and plastic hangers are sold separately. You can buy these plastic hangers directly at our site. We get them from Uline and sell them at cost. Stick on these plastic hooks on your patches. Feed them through the pegs and secure them in place with the black clasps that we include. These are standard 0.75 inch paper clasps that you can find anywhere from Amazon to Staples. It's the best way to ensure the patches don't fly away in the wind or during transport.

There are drilled holes on top of the display cases for you to hang them on your grid wall (Just insert small sticker arms in your grid and feed them through the predrilled slots. You can open up the box 90 degrees and place it on a table too. I recommend securing them down with some screws. They can collapse over if you open it all the way or if a harsh wind hits it. Weighing in around 25 pounds filled with patches it is not fun to have one of these drop on your feet, especially if you are wearing sandals. Trust me I know!
